SONGWRITING SESSIONS

Here's a bit of info on songwriting with me below:
I run songwriting sessions over 12 hours with a 12-hour guarantee of completion per song.
There are 4 sessions included which are broken down into 3 hours each.

SESSION 1 - THE VIBE
Consolidating the ideas and finding the correct sound pallet based on appropriate chosen musical references that you and I select prior to this session commencing. We also fill the song with lots of musical ideas in preparation for session 2. Once the sonic colours have been selected we start building, “The Vibe.” By the end of the session we should have an exciting & strong direction of where the song is heading sound wise!
SESSION 2 - THE FORM
Fleshing out the form or arrangement and any additional sound selections that may be necessary. This is a great session to help us understand how the song will begin to take shape. By the end of this session you will have a clear idea of what the beginning, middle and ending of the song will look like.
SESSION 3 - THE GLUE
Starting to work on transitions between sections to help the song flow and sound cohesive. Making sure that the intro into the verse, into pre-chorus/chorus are transitioning smoothly through the track. Any additional sounds or musical ideas commence to be finalised. At the end of this session we have a full completed instrumental and use our last hour to do lead vocal/backing vocal tests so we are ready for our final session.
SESSION 4 - THE VOCALS
Final vocals are recorded, harmonies etc for the duration of this session. We use the entirety of this session to make sure we are 100% with our vocal takes and even have time to do some basic vocal mixing to get an idea what the final record will sound like.
After all the above sessions, tracks can be sent to the artist to listen to and any corrections or changes are done over the next sessions together.
After the whole process is complete, the track is then left with Spike Leo to mix, tune, process etc and sent to the artist the following week. Turn over time can vary depending on the studio’s workload but is always communicated with artists, so that they have a clear idea upon delivery.
First two revisions included in the fee, free of charge. All additional revisions thereafter will be billed at $100 AUD + GST per hour of labor, with a minimum of one hour.
