Our Process: Steps to Mixing a Song
Ensure you are happy with all recordings prior to sending out for mixing.
Complete all editing, ensuring there are no audio clippings, fade ins/fade outs etc.
Supply multi-track files dry - including one without reverbs and effects.
Leave in any effects that play an integral part of the sound,
Name all tracks clearly and in an organized fashion (for example: Drums, Kick, Hi-hat, Snare etc…).
Export files as WAV or AIFF at sample rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2 & 96kHz with a bit of depth of 16,24 or 32 bit.
Upload to new session before sending files. Please ensure they are all aligned and in sync.
Please note that extra tuning & timing issues will incur an additional fee.
FAQ’s
Confirmation of bookings.
All payments must be made in full prior to the mixing session commencing. Sessions will not start until payment has been made and files not sent until remittance is settled. We accept bank transfer & cash agraph two of the answer.
What is mixing?
Mixing commences once the song has been finalised. The mixing engineer fine-tunes and balances the individual tracks in a song to sound great while playing simultaneously. Tools such as, EQ, panning, volume adjustments and compressions are used to help sculpt a mix. Essentially, mix engineers help create space between instruments so that frequencies don't compete with one another, help tighten up the sound and enhance important production elements within the song.
Is there a track limit?
Yes - up to 50 stems. Beyond that please email for a customised quote.

Can I send tracks via my hard drive?
If you wish to send a hard copy of your tracks via USB or otherwise, please send to: Spike Leo at 269 Johnston St, Abbotsford, VIC 3067 with your artist & song name.
Does the price listed also include Mastering?
No, Mastering is an additional fee and outsourced to our in-house mastering engineer.
Can I attend the session?
In an effort to keep time and costs down, sessions are unattended. This ensures a faster turnaround time and highest quality delivery.
Are revisions included in the price?
Two revisions are included in the fee, free of charge. All additional revisions thereafter will be billed at $100 AUD + GST per hour of labor, with a minimum of one hour.
